Roses #2 by Luigi Rist

Roses #2, 1946, by Luigi Rist

Most readers will be familiar with the names Winslow Homer and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec mentioned in my novel, Restrike, but I included a few lesser-known artists from the print world. Luigi Rist, one of my collecting favorites, is the subject of an exhibition in Dinah’s gallery, and earlier in the novel Dinah bids  on one of his color woodcuts to include in the show. Below are some examples of Rist’s work.

I hope you like them as much as Dinah—and I—do.
